“NorthBay Health is experiencing some temporary disruptions to certain IT systems, as a result of a cybersecurity incident. Upon detecting this incident, we launched an investigation and engaged leading external cybersecurity experts to support our response. We have also been working with law enforcement,” the system wrote in its April 2 statement.
NorthBay said its team is working to restore systems quickly and continues to care for patients using downtime procedures. However, a local CBS affiliate in Vacaville, Calif., reported some patients have been turned away from NorthBay VacaValley Hospital due to the incident.
The health system’s website is also down amid the disruption.
