BenefitMall experienced a data breach Oct. 11, which officials say compromised some health insurance customers’ data at Highmark BCBS, Aetna, Emblem Health, Humana and UnitedHealth.
The officials told Delaware Online that Aetna is mailing notification letters to its affected customers, and the other insurers may follow suit.
The department’s investigation into the incident is ongoing, Delaware Insurance Commissioner Trinidad Navarro told the publication.
