UnityPoint Health Ventures led the $16 million round. The new infusion brings B.well’s total amount raised to more than $27 million.
Not only will the three investors’ funding be used to advance B.well’s expansion plans, but UnityPoint, ThedaCare and Walgreens Boots Alliance will now also work with the startup to use B.well’s technology to improve the patient experience and overall population health.
Additionally, Austin Duke, PhD, senior venture associate at UnityPoint Health Ventures, and Imran Andrabi, MD, president and CEO of ThedaCare, will join B.well’s board of directors.
“Our goal is to make care easier and more personal,” Matthew Warrens, UnityPoint’s managing director of innovation, said in a March 11 news release. “B.well works to solve the fragmented and siloed health experience that consumers, including myself, have struggled with by putting the consumer at the center of their health journey. This is exactly the kind of work that’s going to move the care experience needle for our patients.”
