The health system launched the platform in July 2019 at NYC Health + Hospitals/Coney Island and recently expanded to its facilities in Elmhurst, Queens and Woodhull as well as its Gotham Health and Gouverneur hospitals.

Since the launch, NYC Health + Hospitals has seen a 6.1 percent reduction in missed appointments, representing more than 1,200 appointments, according to a news release emailed to Becker’s Hospital Review.

The platform allows patients to directly connect with the health system’s call center for help rescheduling appointments and offers communication by 14 different languages.

NYC Health + Hospitals plans to implement the platform systemwide by the end of 2020.
