Mr. Bhathena was tapped to serve as digital chief in 2016. Since then, he has been working to evenly spread out his resources.

“It’s very tempting to — what we say in the tech world — to sort of peanut-better spread your resources across a whole bunch of different things,” Mr. Bhathena told Business Insider.

His attention right now is on improving the consumer experience. This involves ensuring CVS Health’s website is up and running and developing tools to create a comprehensive picture of a person who visits a CVS location for healthcare.

Additionally, Br. Bhathena and his team are working on how to reach consumers more effectively. With precise messaging, consumers can be better targeted with information about appropriate healthcare services.
