Medical Center Mondays will be hosted each month on Christus Santa Rosa’s Facebook page. Each session will be shared via Facebook’s Live feature, through which viewers can submit questions in real time.
The first session, beginning at 4 p.m. CT on Dec. 16, will feature Ian Thompson, MD, vice president of oncology services at Christus Santa Rosa and president of Christus Santa Rosa Hospital – Medical Center, who will discuss the topic of prostate cancer.
“We want to be able to cut through so much of the misinformation that can be found on social networks and really engage our community with truly useful popular health and wellness subjects,” Dr. Thompson said in a news release. “Most medical providers want to deliver a much-needed dose of education to the public. That’s why you might begin to see us on your Facebook feed encouraging interactions and delivering truthful, accurate information.”
