Surgical techs rake in $44.3k per year — 9 key statistics

Surgical technologists play an important role during a patient's surgical procedure, from preparing the operating room to ensuring the correct amount of supplies is available.

1. In 2015, the median pay for this position was $44,300 annually.

2. Surgical techs in the top 10 percentile made an average wage of $63,410 in 2015.

3. Surgical techs in the bottom 10 percent made below $31,410 on average.

4. The job outlook is slated to increase by 15 percent from 2014 to 2024, higher than the 7 percent average increase among all occupations.
