SullivanCotter rolls out new software for performance-based compensation

Sullivan, Cotter and Associates has launched a software solution that enables performance-based compensation administration.

Developed in cooperation with Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, the software (Provider Performance Management TechnologyTM) is a cloud-based solution that incorporates SullivanCotter's benchmarking data into three modules designed to address leadership, physician and administrative stakeholder needs.

"As we began integrating value-based care measures into our physician compensation programs, we required a technology solution to help align our physicians with the new quality metrics," said Brian Bunkers, MD, president and site CEO of Mayo Clinic Health System in Faribault and Owatonna, Minn. "It was critical that physicians engage more closely with the measures, provide feedback and use them to better understand how to improve their performance."

Ted Chien, president and CEO of SullivanCotter, addressed the struggle healthcare organizations face to achieve a set of standard quality objectives with current productivity-based compensation programs.

"Provider Performance Management TechnologyTM integrates years of physician compensation and healthcare expertise and insights with an intuitive technology platform to address a growing gap and significant need in the market through physician alignment and engagement," Mr. Chien said.
