Novant Health Pays $13.5M to Top 7 Executives in 2011

Excluding retirement payments and other deferred compensation, the top seven executives at Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health made more than $13.5 million in compensation, according to the health system’s 2011 Form 990 (pdf).

Retirement and other deferred payments added another $3 million to that total.

Here are the individual compensation figures for Novant’s top seven executives in 2011. The compensation figures included salary, bonuses, incentives and “other compensation.”

•    Greg Beier, former president of operations: $4.79 million
•    Paul Wiles, retired president and CEO: $2.25 million
•    Sallye Liner, RN, chief clinical officer: $1.59 million
•    Stephen Wallenhaupt, MD, CMO: $1.5 million
•    Carl Armato, former COO and current CEO: $1.39 million
•    Jacqueline Daniels, chief administrative officer: $1.05 million
•    Fred Hargett, CFO: $981,230
