The administrative roles that were cut were the public relations-community development position, the respiratory therapy director position, director of education and Forest Hills Center’s administrator. As a result, NMMC’s CEO Martin Bernstein said there has been a shift in responsibilities. Mr. Bernstein himself will take on the public relations duties.
The job elimination and paycuts were made in light of declining inpatient case volume. Mr. Bernstein said the new changes are expected to save the hospital and its affiliates $733,000 over a 12-month period, according to the report.
