Gov. Corbett has asked members of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Council 13 to take a 4 percent pay cut in one year. The pay cut would follow two years of 2 percent annual raises.
According to the report, the cut would assist Gov. Corbett’s effort to close a multi-billion budget deficit. The cut would amount to $30 less per week for the average Selinsgrove (Pa.) Center employee and $40 less per week for the average Danville State Hospital employee. The current labor agreement and 16 other state worker contracts end June 30.
