Health IT Salaries Stagnate in 2013

Salaries of IT professionals in the hospital and healthcare sector lag behind other industries, but the demand for qualified health IT employees continues to surge, according to a salary survey from InformationWeek.

Median base salaries for health IT professionals in 2013 are $83,000, the same as 2012. Health IT executives and managers had higher average pay at $112,000.

CIOs in the health IT sector earned a median base salary of $150,000.
