Glassdoor: Physicians hold down ‘highest paying job’ in 2017

Physicians rank number one on the list of 25 highest paid U.S. jobs in 2017, according to a Glassdoor report.

To be considered for the report, job titles must receive at least 100 salary reports shared by U.S.-based employees over the past year. Healthcare industry jobs snagged six of the top 25 spots.

Here’s how healthcare jobs ranked according to median base salary:

No. 1 Physician: $187,876

No. 2 Pharmacy manager: $149,064

No. 4 Medical science liaison: $132,842

No. 5 Pharmacist: $125,847

No. 7 Physician assistant: $112,529

No. 14 Nurse practitioner: $104,144
