7 things to know about CXO salaries

Here are seven things to know about the average salaries of hospital and health system experience leaders, according to a research report from the Experience Innovation Network, a part of Vocera.

  1. On average, experience leaders earn an annual salary of $167,000.
  2. More senior leaders — such as chief experience officers— earn closer to $221,000
  3. Vice presidents of experience earn roughly $216,000.
  4. Experience leaders at hospitals with 400 or fewer beds make, on average, $153,000.
  5. The annual salary for leaders at hospitals with 401 to 600 beds is $150,000.
  6. Experience leaders at hospitals with 601 to 1,000 beds earn the most, at $217,000.
  7. The annual salary for leaders at hospitals with more than 1,000 beds is $181,000.
