5 best, worst cities for getting a raise

Ogden, Utah, is the No. 1 city for employees to get a raise after asking for one, according to a PayScale analysis.

To find the cities that offer workers the best — or worst — shot at a raise after asking for one, PayScale surveyed more than 160,000 employees across the U.S.

The top five cities:

1. Ogden, Utah
2. Honolulu
3. Fresno, Calif.
4. San Francisco
5. Long Island, N.Y.

The bottom five cities:

1. Stockton, Calif.
2. Knoxville, Tenn.
3. Lakeland-Winter Haven, Fla.
4. Baton Rouge, La.
5. Gary, Ind.
