1,000 Nurses Stage Walk-Out at Kaiser Hospital

Approximately 1,000 nurses from Kaiser Los Angeles Medical Center have staged a 24-hour walk-out, according to a Forbes news report.

The nurses have signed up for the walk-out because of dissatisfaction over Kaiser Permanente’s alleged refusal to address staffing levels at the Los Angeles hospital. The nurses are also striking over the health system’s alleged refusal to bargain in good faith. Kaiser Permanente officials responded to the allegations by saying the system has bargained in good faith, according to the news report.
