The 10 best paying jobs in 2018 are in healthcare, with anesthesiologists ranking No. 1, according to a CNBC report.

To compile the list, CNBC gathered data on the highest median salaries for 25 occupations from U.S. News & World Report's 2018 Best Jobs list and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. In all, 15 of the 25 highest paying jobs on the list are in the healthcare industry.

Here's how the 15 healthcare professions that made the list ranked according to median salary.

No. 1 — Anesthesiologist: $269,600

No. 2 — Surgeon: $252,910

No. 3 — Obstetrician and Gynecologist: $234,310

No. 4 — Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon: $232,870

No. 5 — Orthodontist: $228,780

No. 6 — Physician: $201,840

No. 7 — Psychiatrist: $200,220

No. 8 — Pediatrician: $184,240

No. 9 — Dentist: $173,860

No. 10 — Prosthodontist: $168,140

No. 11 — Nurse Anesthetist: $164,030

No. 15 — Podiatrist: $144,110
