10 cities with the biggest physician pay growth

Fresno, Calif., is the city with the most physician pay growth, according to a study from Doximity, a social network for clinicians.

For the study, researchers examined data from Doximity’s self-reported compensation surveys of about 70,000 full-time, licensed U.S. physicians between 2017 and 2018.

Here are the 10 cities where compensation for physicians grew the most year over year, according to the study.

1. Fresno, Calif. — 15 percent  

2. New Orleans — 15 percent

3. Fayetteville, Ark. — 13 percent

4. Albany, N.Y. — 13 percent

5. Baltimore — 12 percent  

6. New Haven, Conn. — 12 percent  

7. Dallas — 9 percent  

8. Albuquerque, N.M. — 8 percent

9. El Paso, Texas — 8 percent

10. Boston — 7 percent
