CMS Releases New Rule on Medicare Medically Unlikely Edits

CMS announced changes to its Medicare Medically Unlikely Edits program, which screens claims for likely errors under Part B to avoid excess payments.

The program will begin using date-of-service edits instead of claim line edits to check for redundancies.
