Steve Allen, MD. CEO of Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio). Dr. Allen has served as CEO of Nationwide Children’s Hospital since 2006. His executive oversight extends to its Research Institute, Hospital Foundation and The Center for Family Safety and Healing. He has enacted numerous community initiatives and partnerships aimed at combating obesity and disease in children. Dr. Allen serves on the board of the National Association of Children’s Hospitals and Related Institutions and as a member of Child Health Corporation of America. He is board-certified in anesthesiology and critical care medicine and, prior to his current position, was a professor in the department of anesthesiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and served as CMO for Memorial Hermann Hospital and Memorial Hermann Children’s Hospital in Houston.
