Kurt Calman. Vice President and CIO of Technology and Clinical Services of United Memorial Medical Center (Batavia, N.Y.). In 2010, Mr. Calman was named CIO of United Memorial Medical Center, now one of five hospital affiliates in the Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health System. Within eighteen months, Kurt helped United Memorial achieve HIMSS stage 6 EHR adoption level. Under his leadership the hospital was also able to meet Meaningful Use standards during the first years of the program. In 2013, Kurt took on the additional role of Vice President of Technology and Clinical Services where in addition to IT responsibilities, he oversees a number of ambulatory clinical departments; including Facilities, EVS, and Biomed. Mr. Calman previously held positions at the University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center and Rochester-based Unity Health System.
