John R. Brumsted, MD. President and CEO of University of Vermont Health Network and CEO of University of Vermont Medical Center. After serving in an interim role for eight months, Dr. Brumsted was named president and CEO of Fletcher Allen Health Care, the parent organization of the health system and Central Vermont Medical Center, in February 2012. Prior to his current role, he was a senior associate dean for clinical affairs and the University of Vermont’s College of Medicine in Burlington and medical director of the Vermont Health Plan and Vermont Managed Care. He has been on staff at the Vermont Health System since 1981 and previously served as both CMO and chief quality officer. Dr. Brumsted is a member of the Vermont Medical Society Council and is board-certified in obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility.
