Christopher C. Colenda, MD. President and CEO of West Virginia United Health System Fairmont. Dr. Colenda joined WVU Health System as president and CEO in January 2014, but he was chancellor for health sciences at the university prior to his current role. Before coming to West Virginia, Dr. Colenda was dean of medicine, professor of psychiatry and behavioral science and professor of health policy management at Texas A&M. Dr. Colenda has published more than 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts and book chapters, mostly on geriatric mental health services. In addition to his medical degree, Dr. Colenda also holds a master’s degree in public health.
