Veterans Affairs Southern Nevada Healthcare to Open New $600M Hospital

Las Vegas-based VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System is opening a new $600 million Veterans Affairs medical center to patients Aug. 14, according to a KTNV report.

The one-million-square-foot center includes 90 inpatient beds and a community living center. The hospital will offer specialty care, surgery, mental health services, rehabilitation and support programs.

The center will open in phases and is expected to be fully operational by January 1, 2013, according to the report.
