Under the agreement, VHA will offer Care Logistics’ Hospital Operating System — a centralized care coordination model and technology system — to its member hospitals. The system aims to optimize patient throughput to improve care quality.
“We’re excited about our agreement with VHA and the opportunity to demonstrate to their member hospitals how establishing a logistical control system can orchestrate the key activities and milestones of patient care,” Karl Straub, president of Care Logistics, said in a news release. “Our experience shows that hospitals adopting our solution transform to more reliable operations, dramatically improving their quality of care and patient satisfaction scores while decreasing average length of stay by half a day or more.”
