The webinar airing Oct. 30 is called “Transitioning from ‘Value of Products’ to ‘Value of Care’ through Analytics,” and will focus on strategies that help organizations engage analytics and advisory services to advance the maturity of their value analysis process.
VHA created the webinar series to help hospitals and health systems nationwide develop and implement strategies designed around the distinct financial, clinical, operations and supply chain challenges leaders are facing during this period of transition from the volume-based to value-based payment model.
“The value-based payment model is one of the most significant changes for hospitals and health systems coming out of health care reform and the financial stakes are high. Hospitals and health systems that aren’t able to transition will be at risk for meeting required quality metrics. This will result in lower reimbursements from government agencies and payers as well as declining margins,” said David Markoski, senior vice president for VHA performance services.
