By 3 p.m. yesterday, 166 patients had been transferred to the new location. The 1.1 million square-foot facility features outpatient clinics for pediatric otolaryngology and audiology patients, a pediatric emergency department, a family resource center and private rooms, among other features.

The opening of the $754 million women’s and children’s campus was delayed from its previously scheduled opening in mid-November due to building restrictions. However, the opening still beat the originally scheduled opening of early 2012.
