8. Detroit Receiving Hospital, part of Detroit Medical Center, broke ground on an $8 million operating room expansion project.
9. Grand Junction (Colo.) VA Medical Center is nearing completion of its $14.5 million expansion project, which includes four operating rooms, an intensive care unit, a recovery room and a sterilization-processing room.
10. Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tenn., part of Saint Thomas Health, became the first hospital in the state to open two hybrid operating rooms.
