Mount Nittany Medical Center in Pennsylvania Expands ER

Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, Pa., has expanded part of its emergency department facilities, according to a State College report.

The first phase of the new emergency department upgrade includes private patient rooms, each with its own restroom, and a new nursing pod design, intended to provide physicians and nurses close proximity to patients, supplies and core team members.

The final phase of the emergency department expansion is expected to be completed by March 2013.
