The hospital, which is operated by the Hospital Authority of Calhoun County, provides nearly $2 million in uncompensated care each year. Hospital leaders say the hospital may be forced to close if additional funding is not provided by the state or federal government, according to the report.
If the hospital closes, Arlington residents would have to travel at least 25 miles for hospital care, according to the report.
