St. John’s Hospital in Missouri to Double Neonatal ICU

St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo., plans to double the current capacity of its neonatal intensive care unit, according to an Ozarks First report.

Construction for the NICU expansion, which will allow more privacy for newborns, has already begun. The expansion is part of a broader plan to expand St. John’s Children’s Hospital. Other Children’s Hospital expansion plans include emergency room services and a new heart hospital, according to the report.
