St. Clair Hospital, Washington Health System Join Highmark Quality Care Program

Mt. Lebanon, Wash.-based St. Clair Hospital and Washington Health System in Vancouver, Wash. have announced they will join health insurer Highmark’s patient-centered medical home model that rewards physicians based on performance, according to a Pittsburg Business Times report.

The goal of the partnership between the companies is to provide more coordinated care and higher quality care to patients who are Highmark members.

Under the model, patients will receive team-based care, with physicians, nurses and other staff participating in the patients’ care, according to the report.
