Sharp HealthCare ACO – II (San Diego). The 800-physician Sharp Community Medical Group and 500-physician Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group participate in the Sharp HealthCare ACO – II along with seven hospitals. Sharp HealthCare joined the Pioneer ACO Model in 2017, but dropped out of the program in 2014. CMS selected Sharp HealthCare ACO, which now serves 43,000 Medicare beneficiaries, to participate in the Next Generation ACO Model in 2017.
