Under the affiliation, existing ties between the facilities in pediatrics, cardiovascular disease, orthopedics, surgical services, obstetrics and gynecology will be expanded, and new partnerships will be created in bariatrics, neurology and cancer care, according to the report.
Patients who use Signature’s services will also have access to additional specialty and advanced care under the agreement.
Signature includes Brockton Hospital and the 150-physician Signature Medical Group. It is the second healthcare provider in three weeks to form an affiliation with Tufts. In November, Jordan Hospital in Plymouth, Mass., formed a similar agreement.
