Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York Opens New Cardiovascular Unit

Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, N.Y., announced the opening of the new 30-bed Cardiovascular and Thoracic Unit.

The 29,000 square-foot facility, located in the Zuckerberg Pavilion, will care for patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The unit includes three physician/nursing collaboration zones, administrative support space, interdisciplinary team rooms, two isolation rooms, a bariatric room and a pharmacy.
