Riverwood Healthcare Center (Aikin, Minn.). Riverwood Healthcare Center, which opened its doors in 1955, is an integrated health system featuring a 24-bed hospital and three full-service primary care clinics in north central Minnesota. The hospital was completely rebuilt in 2003 and offers a Level III trauma center and Level I heart attack program. In 2017, the National Rural Health Association recognized Riverwood Healthcare Center as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital, and iVantage Health Analytics designated the facility as one of the Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S.
