As part of the agreement, physicians at RegionalCare’s Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Ala., and Shoals Hospital in Muscle Shoals, Ala., will be able to exchange medical records with physicians at UAB so that physicians at the RegionalCare hospitals can continue to monitor patients if they are referred to UAB. The partnership could also include sending UAB physicians to ECM and Shoals hospitals to treat patients.
Both systems will remain separate and no fee is associated with the agreement, according to the report.
