Philadelphia’s Northeastern Hospital to Close

Temple University Health System has announced that it will close Northeastern Hospital in Philadelphia, according to a report in The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The hospital is scheduled to close in June and will transition to a multi-specialty ambulatory care center by July.

The closure comes in response to "mounting losses" on operations, according to the report.

Officials expect that jobs will be eliminated as a result of the closure but are unsure of the number.
