The governing board of MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Mass., voted unanimously not to support Tenet Healthcare's decision to close outpatient oncology services, the Framingham Source reported April 28. 

Ellis Medicine said the Schenectady, N.Y.-based health system has temporarily paused services in its inpatient adolescent mental health unit at Ellis Hospital.

Durham, N.C.-based Duke Health and Chapel Hill-based University of North Carolina Health are competing to add beds in the state, WUNC reported April 25.

An emergency ordinance introduced April 19 would require hospitals to give written notice to a Pennsylvania county health department at least 180 days in advance of a unit or hospital closure, NPR affiliate WHYY reported.
