Through predictive modeling analytics, the tool analyzes more than six different market data and behavioral factors. It examines both inpatient and emergency department volume growth projections by specific services lines over the next 10 years.

The Demand Forecast process enables hospital management to address the following kinds of questions in preparation for making necessary reform-related changes:

• Who will be the newly insured in my county and/or region?
• How much service and care will the newly insured utilize?
• What kind of services will the newly insured need and utilize?
• Which types of providers will the newly insured utilize for care?
• Where are the pockets of growth in my market?
