The hospital’s inpatient services will cease April 10, and outpatient and emergency room services will cease April 26.
In 2006, the New York State Commission on Health Care Facilities in the 21st Century, often referred to as the Berger Commission, recommended that the facility be converted into an outpatient urgent-care center.
Oswego Health will take over the facility after its closure and will oversee acute and outpatient services pending approval from the state.
