New Hospital Opens in Texas

Seton Medical Center Hays in Kyle, Texas, has officially opened for business, according to a report by the Austin Business Journal.

The $143 million, 112-bed hospital will feature an emergency department, critical care, oncology, cardiology, surgical care, orthopedics, women’s services, a Level II nursery, outpatient surgery center, imaging, lab and other diagnostic and outpatient therapies, according to the report.

The new hospital is expected to create approximately 19,000 direct and indirect jobs by 2020, according to the report.
