New $325M Replacement Hospital Opening Outside of Chicago

Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Ill., is about to move into a new $325 million replacement hospital a few miles away, according to a report by the Chicago Tribune.

The new Sherman Hospital includes 255 private patient rooms, an ED and ORs that are twice the size of those at the old hospital, a neo-natal intensive care unit, a heart and vascular care center and a free-standing cancer center.

The old Sherman Hospital is reopening as a 24-hour immediate care center.
