Nashua Hospitals Create Outpatient Surgery Center

Three Nashua, N.H.-based hospitals — Dartmouth-Hitchcock Nashua, St. Joseph Hospital and Southern New Hampshire Medical Center — have come together to create the Surgery Center of Greater Nashua, an outpatient surgery facility created to reduce the cost of surgery in the Nashua area, according to a report from the Nashua Telegraph.

The 10,000-square-foot center has three operating rooms and employs 20 staff. Construction cost approximately $1.6 million.

The center will perform its first operation Tuesday, according to the report.
