The event was held Dec. 9-13. Salvatore G. Vitale, MD, president-elect of the New York State Society of Anesthesiologists and NAPA chairman of cardiac anesthesia at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, N.Y., was a featured speaker on Dec. 10, during a session focusing on the professionalism and advocacy aspect of effective communication about the importance of anesthesiology as a medical specialty and the role of the anesthesiologist.
Anesthesia residents from NAPA’s residency programs at Nassau University Medical Center and Westchester Medical Center also presented throughout the event, and NAPA was present at a booth during the event to discuss employment opportunities.
