Last week, QHS announced a shared savings initiative with UnitedHealthcare and expects to enter into more risk-based, accountable care arrangements in the future. The network is clinically integrated and can contract directly with payers and health plans on behalf of its members.
“Quality Health Solutions’ innovative approach to accountable care will allow us to better serve employers and our patients and will bring Ministry increased commercial share. We believe this collaboration is a significant step in the transformation of healthcare delivery,” said Nick Desien, CEO of Ministry Health Care, in the news release.
In addition to Ministry Health Care, QHS members in Wisconsin participating in the accountable care network are Fond du Lac-based Agnesian Healthcare, Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare in Glendale and Milwaukee-based providers Columbia St. Mary’s, Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin.
