Memorial Med Center in Illinois Receives State Board’s Approval for Expansion

Memorial Medical Center in Springfield, Ill., has received unanimous approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board for its $122.3 million expansion and renovation project, according to a report from The State Journal-Register.

The project will include a complete conversion to private rooms for the hospital. It will also add 114 patient rooms, six operating rooms and will increase capacity by 28 percent.
