Mercy ACO (Des Moines, Iowa). Mercy ACO was formed in 2012 by Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines and Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Iowa. The ACO has participated in the Medicare Shared Savings Program for the past four years, during which it was recognized for its improvements in patient quality measures. Mercy ranked among the top 10 MSSP ACOs for quality in 2014.
