Massachusetts Hospital Group Break Ground on Cancer Care Center

Southcoast Hospitals Group, based in New Bedford, Mass., has broken ground on a new 56,000 square-foot cancer care center in Fairhaven, Mass., according to The New England Business Bulletin.

The new, two-story cancer center will be Southcoast’s flagship cancer care facility and will include services such as radiation therapy, chemotherapy, surgery, diagnostic imaging services and education and support services, according to the report.

The expected opening for the new center will be early 2011.
