The new solution allows payers to compare a provider’s severity-adjusted performance across a variety of healthcare benchmarks. By measuring and comparing provider data, LexisNexis officials believe payers will be able to make more informed decisions in building provider network affiliations and improving patient health outcomes, as well as helping providers identify areas for improvement.
“Payment reform has been the driver in the industry’s shift from volume-based to value-based care payment models,” said LexisNexis CEO, public sector and healthcare, Lee Rivas. “The LexisNexis provider performance monitor enables payers to fairly compare providers against industry and local benchmarks, allowing them to create provider networks comprised of physicians with the best healthcare outcomes, at reduced costs and fostering improved population health.”
